Ranikhet - An Unspoiled Serene Getaway In The Hills

Whenever it comes to organising a family trip to a hill station, we usually end up visiting Shimla or Nainital. This year I came across a quite a peaceful property the Snow View Hotel in Ranikhet. My plans were made and I left by road though there were options of travelling by train to the Kathgodam station and hiring a cab. However, the real fun comes on a road trip on the winding roads beginning from the foothills of Corbett on to the lower Himalayas. We stopped a couple to time in local dhabas and tea shops for the much needed Indian masala chai breaks.  As we arrived to our destination, Ranikhet turned out to be the real virtue of Mother Nature.

Ranikhet to me will be remembered for its infinite beauty and natural environment. Ideal for writers, artist, poet, birdwatcher or just someone looking for a quiet time.

The Snow view hotel in Ranikhet was a lovely space with ample safe space to park my car. We were given a warm welcome by the local staff, after a wholesome lunch, we relaxed in the afternoon and the surrounding were peacefull. In the evening we had a lovely bonfire and snacks and rested to gear up for the next day for which we had a list of hot spots and activities in Ranikhet
